Can you imagine having 3 or 4 hours to load up your vehicle with whatever is most important to you, then leaving everything else behind, not knowing if you'll ever see your house / possessions again?
Can you imagine 1 million people losing their homes?
Can you imagine a city the size of New Orleans evacuated? Under water?
I don't know about you, but I'm having a hard time processing all of this.

I think any disaster of this magnitude is impossible to imagine. Only experience can give us an inkling of what the folks down there are living with.
