Home Recording

I enjoyed playing around with the software Audacity earlier this week. A friend wanted to record some background tracks for a song, so we gave it a test run. Audacity's strength is that it can record multiple tracks in stereo. It is weak when it comes to effects (noise removal, equalization, reverb), but for what we were doing it proved to be adequate, especially considering it was free.

It's amazing what we can do with computers in our homes these days that would have been a dream just a few short years ago. Technology is great...when it works.

This time, it worked!

How's it going, Shane? Just to agree, I love Audacity and use it for school all the time, doing Spanish recordings on it. Hard to beat the price!
