Musical Philosophy

The optimist sees a C#.

The pessimist sees a Db.

What do you see?

The sound of one hand clapping??

Actually, I don't see C# or Db; I see an eighth note. I think I'm more realist than optimist or pessimist.

Does that fit into your burgeoning field of musical philosophy?

Well, aren't you sharp, Mr. Waugh! ; )

"The sound of one hand clapping??"

Is that kind of like Chris Rice singing about smelling the color nine?

C# but since there is no staff,it's an 8th note. lol

When it comes to music I always read the notes as # not b, but in reality I'm probably about 60/40 optimistic to pessimistic.

I can tell you what I DON'T see... a rest. And I'd dearly love one. Or even a breath mark. :)

I see a quarter note with a flag.

I should do ink blot tests around here more often!

I see a song with only one note. That makes me sad because the stem is up and I'm an alto. But that's ok...I will just make my OWN harmony and keep on going :)

I like weswaugh's "The sound of one hand clapping" -- very original!

I see a music note with no staff. Which is sad to me because the note could be either major or minor, but nobody knows because it can't be played. A note that can't be played ... is it really a note?

:-) Blessings!
