ZOE 2008

Wow - has it really been two weeks since I've posted here? Come back, Shane!

We spent last weekend in Nashville at the ZOE Conference. As far as content goes, I think this was the best one of the 5 I've been to, and as far as cd resources go, I think this year's is one of the best as well.

The conference explored the concept of fear and encouraged us to live fearlessly. I know there are a lot of things I am afraid of: rejection, suffering, disappointing others, failure, scary situations, scary people, and on and on and on, so this topic certainly hit home for me.

Here's our travel party...and let me say, it was a party (at least in some people's rooms at certain times of the evening...)! Pete and Tammy, we missed you! Perhaps you could Photoshop yourselves into this picture?

A must for me when at ZOE: A trip to Fat Mo's for lunch! Mmmmmmm!

A must for some others in our group when at ZOE: A trip to Corky's for dinner!

A moment from one of the 22 hours in the van...

As always, we arrived home Sunday night completely exhausted. And, of course, Zorro felt the need to let me know how much he missed me. Nothing says "welcome home" like purring, head-butting, tickling whiskers and wet-cat-nose-in-the-mouth at 4:30 a.m. Gotta love him!

Looks like you guys had a good time!

I hated to miss it, but on the other hand, we get to go to Tulsa in March now!

Shane,
I appreciate you sharing these pics with us. I wish I could have gone to the conference but health, school and job could not make it. It will definately be one of my goals for 2009. I am glad you had a great time and back safe.

I was ok until the Fat Mo's picture! I could do a photoshop on the group picture but it wouldn't get me a burger...

Shane,
What did you think of Scot McKnight? How did he do? Let us know. I am anxious to hear.

Since I didn't make it to the Leaders Conference portion this year, I was only able to hear Scot McKinght once.

What I heard was great - he encouraged us regarding The Lord's Prayer and The Greatest Commandments.

I may start following his blog a little more closely, though.
