Don't read unless you want to hear about basketball

Courtesy of Associated Glass Company, we had 5th row seats to the OKC Hornets vs. the Philadelphia 76ers last Friday evening. I cannot even begin to explain how cool that was. It was great to see Allen Iverson, Chris Webber, Kyle Korver (hey, I'm a Creighton fan), and Desmond Mason up close. Iverson did not disappoint. He had dropped in 34 points the last time I checked. The Hornets won when Iverson's last second shot clanked. Although I still prefer college ball, having the NBA in town isn't so bad.

I'm interested, for those outside of OKC, what your press has to say about the Hornets in OKC? It's big news here, of course, but is it even a blip on the radar anywhere else?

The YMCA team is 1-0 after a 24-13 win on Saturday. We worked on taking care of the basketball tonight at practice. Those who did not take care of the ball were able to work on their push-up skills.

Winter comes to OKC tomorrow. Boo, hiss.

Congrats! I've learned that it's all about the TO's. You take care of the ball and things happen. Kinda' what happened to us at Casady... we didn't take care of the ball during our come-back run... turn it over 3 times in the last 45 sec. and lost by 1. Tough loss there... have Guthrie tonight... hope we do better.

Have a great weekend!
