Horses and Clothes, not Sports

Post-game thoughts (after OSU's 52-10 win which exceeded my humble expectations):

I want to know where Bullet the horse was. Taking a night off? Was the Division 1-AA opponent not worth his time? Did he eat some bad oats Friday night and not feel well? Did he sense we were going to score a lot of points and he wasn't prepared for that much of a work out? Did he know Alice wasn't coming to cheer for him? Is he upset that the place he hangs out - the west end zone - is under construction? We need to know these things.

As a fashion expert ;-), I must say the new OSU jersies are sad. I know the big beef with the old ones was that the numbers were hard to read, but the new block numbers and letters are an over-reaction. They should have still incorporated our OSU font into the design somehow. Now the helmets look totally disconnected from the rest of the uniform. I'll give the new pants a nod - they're ok.

See there, I'm not talking about sports. I'm talking about horses and clothes.

Had a blast Shane. And now... my critique...

I liked the pants with the black accent... very cool.

Tops... I'm kinda with you on that one. I thought that the block lettering was different... but I wish that the "COWBOYS" were bigger and the numbers skinnier and slightly smaller.

Helmets... Think that they'll go back to black?

Doubtful. They've been pushing the color orange pretty hard for the past 10 years.

But, you're right, the old black helmets would look pretty sharp with the new duds.

Hey Shane,
Can't really comment on the Cowboys new uniforms...I missed the game (I know, I know...I'm a terrible Okie!)
We are headed for Stillwater tomorrow for the Cowboy Youth Festival! I'll probably cruise by the stadium just to breathe in the air! (and bless it.)
Thanks for commenting on my blog, feeding my need for affirmation! :)

dey dey -

Actually, from my perspective the dark side would be OU crimson and white...I can live with Alabama crimson. It's the checkered top hats I find weird...

Thanks for visiting. Come back any time.
