WOW

Here's the crew from our church softball game last Saturday morning.

And here's a Cowboy playing in the field.

I should explain that "WOW" stands for "Weekend of Wonder". Our church organized a weekend full of activities for our members and the community, including a golf scramble, softball game, cooking class, kids blow up games and pony rides, free hot dogs, haircuts, family portraits, heart and blood pressure screening (yes, I do have a heart, and it is in great shape they say), and a rock concert for the teens. And, yes, I was the coordinator for this whole event. Whew!

We had a ton of guests take advantage of these opportunities. I'm glad to be a part of a church that enjoys providing gifts to our community with no strings attached. We may not see the results this week or even this year, but I am confident they are planting seeds that will one day grow into faith.

Amen! I love being part of a church that believes in loving God and loving people with no preconceived ideas of what people must do to earn our love. I love the way Memorial practices uncondtional love just like our Father. WOW!

I noticed you were the only one wearing anything remotely orange. It's tough to be different in a crowd. (i.e. a Razorback in Husker Nation), but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Sounds like it was a great weekend! I'm sad I had to miss out on it!

Dr. Jim - True, but two of them in the picture currently attend OSU, so it wasn't as bad as meets the eye...You have it far worse than I.

Vanessa - Sorry you missed, too. Hope school is treating you kindly.

Brenda - Get some shades, my friend.
