Humph!

Our house in Edmond won’t sell = two house payments every month
Alice isn’t happy with her job in Tulsa
The Fonz (Alice’s car) just required a new transmission
The Fonz (Alice’s car) just required a new radiator
The Fonz (Alice’s car) just required new brakes
Shane’s car needs service (but we are now too scared and too broke to take it in…)
We had to replace our garage door opener yesterday
One of the new garage door opener remotes won’t work today
My aunt has cancer
Some friends of ours in OKC are separated and close to divorce
OSU choked against A&M in overtime

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 2 Cor 4:8-9

Hard pressed, perplexed, discouraged? Yes.

Crushed, despaired, feeling abandoned, destroyed?

Never.

Thanks for the verse and the reminder, Shane. I think we all could make our lists of things that are pressing on us, but remembering whose we are keeps us victorious. (Even when we aren't necessarily feeling it.)

It's not quite as bad as Job experienced. It does remind me of my favorite song "Hold to God's Unchanging Hand."

We all have things that press on us each and every day. Just remember, God promises to bless His faithful children! Continue to press on in the Lord.

What a week, or more like a season, you guys have had!!! Isn't it amazing when we step out in faith to boldly to serve God, how quickly Satan will double, triple, and quadruple the attack! I find so much comfort in Isaiah 43 - Yes, you will get wet and you will feel the heat from life, but you will not be swept away nor consumed because I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. (JYP paraphrase)

Hang in there! We love you guys and are so grateful to have you here. Keep pressing on - Hosea 6:3

I just have to say... I'm amazed by your faithfulness. Not just writing it, but living it! Your attitude never reflects the barbs Satan is flinging at you, and you continue to praise God even when those things pile up. Thank you for being a shining light.

And I LOVE that Alice's car is named "The Fonz". That's awesome!!!!

Praying for you,
T

Oh wow! What a time you are having. I'm sorry to hear about these things...well...except for that one item at the bottom that seemed to have one too many initials in the name. hummmm....;o)
I hope you both know how much you are loved here and that we cherish the example you set before us. You are always so faithful to Him and give Him the glory in even the hardest times. Thanks for the reminder of 2 Cor.
