I agree with the good doctor. You're about a chubby as a stick, and that drawing makes you look like you've had a few too many sunday morning doughnuts. :o)
I don't exactly think my comment was as clear as it should have been.
I don't have any problem with people coming together as you referenced in Hebrews 10. In fact, that is the exact verse I thought of when I said I go to church because the Bible commands it. Because really, without the Bible, there would be no church.
I wish wish wish that we would be a people who actually encourage one another when we come together. My experience before (not all the time,) is that people come around each other and say nice things to one another. We should be encouraging one another by telling each one how we see God working in their life. We should be asking each other what Jesus really means to them. We should be a people that prays constantly.
I really hope that you understand that my goal is not to say negative things. Michelle felt guilty, and I wanted her to know that guilt was the wrooooong way to feel. In fact if you look up in verse 22 of Heb. 10, it says
"let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water."
I'm not berating the people who seek fellowship with other Christians, I'm trying to call myself and others to a higher standard of obedience and joy. Before we go in several different directions, and try to figure out different and out of the box teaching and ministry methods, let's follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Jesus didn't ever have a problem with drawing people in, he was constantly being overwhelmed by crowds of people.
Let's read the word of God. (which Jesus quoted over and over and over,) Let's silently bow our heads and seek the Lord. (which Christ did constantly) Let's seek him first so that we may be filled to overflowing, and fellowship with one another in a more Christ-Centered, mature way.
Thank you for checking my comment. Real brothers will rebuke, be honest, etc.
p.s. My thoughts are not the end-all, and I'm not offended by other people's different opinions. Let's all just love Jesus Christ. If this sounds arrogant at all, please know I don't mean it to be. May God change that in me if that is the case.

What in the world is that?
My caricature (sp?) for the new Memorial Drive coffee mug!
They need to thin the face down. They've made you look rounder than you really are.

That's hilarious, Shane. You draw that?

OK...I DO think this looks like you, but Dr. Jim was right: your face is way too chubby for how it really is! :o)
By the way, we are SO glad you guys are here!!!!
Hair is too long, Shane! Time for your hair cut yet?
I know a good lawn service! :-)
To clarify, Toby's comment relates to a conversation going on on another blog. Just didn't want you guys to be confused.
No, Chad, there's no way I could have drawn that myself. My doodling talent limits me to stick people.
Although, judging from other comments, maybe that would be a closer match...
I'm just ashamed that my beard was so light that the artist didn't even catch on that I had one...
