I've added a link at the right for the Tulsa Workshop. Can you believe it's only 2 1/2 months away? That is frighteningly wonderful!
I've been attending the Workshop since 1992, and can't wait to help out with this one.
So, for those of you who have attended in the past, what is your favorite Workshop memory?

When Ira North was alive, he delivered a keynote address during one of the evening sessions at the workshop. I remember how exciting it was to experience (the workshop atmosphere) such a rare and huge assembly. As he looked around the packed pavilion Ira said, "This looks like Wednesday Nights at the Madison Church of Christ."
Laughter erupted.
Anyone else remember the year of the tornado? It was fascinating to watch during the prayers that while the sirens were going off, not one person moved. It wasn't long after that we all moved downstairs! I remembered feeling that if it was my time to go, I was with a great room of people!
The next year, I got married on Workshop Saturday night! It was great having my out of town friends be there and be a part of that day!
My favorite memory would have to be a very recent one. It was at workshop last year that I met you and Alice for the first time! It's just way cool that the first time I met two people that would make such an impact on my own life and the life of our family at Memorial would be at my favorite event each year. I just simpy love workshop! It is such a fun time for me. I always attend as many classes as I can and never miss the keynotes! My favorite thing about workshop is something that happens every year. I can walk around and see tons of people that I only know through Jesus Christ our Lord and feel like I am at a family reunion with all my dearest loved ones! I love meeting new people and worshiping with them. I just can't wait for it to get here!
I remember the year of the tornado, Brenda. And I have to say.. it fueled my love of storms. :D
Workshop has always been such an integral part of my life. My mother coordinated one year, so I got quite the behind the scenes look, and I think that year holds the most amazing memories for me. We were there from dawn till dusk every day. I met people I never thought to meet, and saw God work in small ways that made big differences.
I don't think I can narrow it down to one memory, but each year my favorite part is when everyone stands and applauds the AIM students that are about to go to the field. I always tear up.
Dude, just thinking about it is making me tear up, remembering the year I stood, about to head to Portugal and the unknown... suddenly realizing I was a part of this team of thousands that would be praying for us little kids.
Thanks for your responses. Lots of great memories.
Tim, I didn't really mean to limit everyone to one. Poor post editing on my part ;-)
I realize I'm a little late on this, but I've been out of town. :o) I can't NOT comment on this. I LOVE the Tulsa Workshop! My first trip was when I was a senior in high school. Growing up in Iowa, I had never been in a room with that many Christians before. My first memory that I hope will NEVER leave me, is that feeling I got when walking into the Pavilion that first time and hearing the singing. WOW!
The tornado year has become one of my favorites because when we all went "downstairs", I ran into an old college friend that I hadn't seen since college. That "old friend" is now my husband! :o)
I've been to the Workshop almost every year since that senior year in high school, and it just gets better and better. NOW Memorial Drive is my church home. And this will be my second year to help Terry and Becky as the Workshop Coordinator. It still seems surreal!
Awww...I didn't know that's how you re-connected with you future hubby! What a neat story!
