More on Leadership

Another quote from Leading With a Limp:

The more a person is driven by emptiness and inadequacy, the more self-centered and violent that person will become - and the more oppression he will bring into the world.

Have any of you been a victim of a "leader" like that?

I sure have.

I have someone in my family like this and it makes it so difficult to live like myself around them.

P.S.
You are always in my thoughts and prayers.
I pray that God is releaving you of the pain you have been in lately.
You are such a blessing to so many and when you suffer we all do as well.
Again have a blessed weekend. I hope and pray that God will bring up spiritual leaders that will have his heart.
In Him,
Kinney Mabry

Shane - excellent quote, thanks for sharing it.
My answer is yes, I have been a victim of a "leader" like that - only I hesitate to call the person a leader...but they were in a position of leadership.

It's amazing how hard it is to get above the heaviness of such a person. As a result, the whole group suffers with a degree of hopelessness, and a hint of despair.

We need leaders, and we need to be leaders who find our strength and identity in God alone...wouldn't that be amazing?!
